Andy and Amy Szwejbka opened the first distillery in Pender County, and have built a community and gathering place. Learn about their coastal roots and see why they have been met with warm welcomes.
Blue Water Candy was started by Jodie and Terry Gay in Hampstead. Jodie, a commercial fisherman, started the company at the family’s kitchen table - now producing more than 4,000 varieties of lures.
Carolina Shores Natural Soap owner Lisa Keenan crafts handmade soap, lotions and more with quality locally sourced ingredients in including ocean water for the ocean water soap and beach sand for the sandstone exfoliating soap.
The handcrafted chocolates created by the Burry family have become a staple in a chocolate-lover’s diet. These third-generation chocolatiers are known for more than just the sweets, they are known for their attention to detail and love of what they do.
Can you believe these local cutting boards have been created for famous chefs, such as Guy Fieri and Giada de Laurentis? The Davis Family started using its beautiful scrap hardwood to make cutting boards utilizing scrap hardwood from their fifth generation lumber company.
