THEIR STORY

Burry Chocolates, located at 21572 US Hwy 17 in Hampstead, opened in 2020. The handcrafted chocolates created by the Burry family have become a staple in a chocolate-lover’s diet.  
    Brandon and Emily Burry are third-generation chocolatiers. Hailing from New Jersey where Brandon’s grandfather opened The Fudge Shoppe, Brandon and Emily, and their supporting cast of parents, extended family and 10 employees have delivered deliciousness to the Greater Topsail Area. 
    Burry Chocolates sell by the pound and Emily said, “Our top sellers are the milk chocolate covered pretzels and the salted caramels.” The bourbon cherry cordials are a local favorite, but so are the selections of chocolate-covered fruit, homemade fudge, thin mints, and chocolate-covered Oreos. 
    Throughout the year, Burry’s offers gift packages with a selection of chocolate-covered espresso beans, nonpareils, and other company favorites. “One of our customers sent the chocolate covered espresso beans to Australia,” said Emily. “That’s the furthest our chocolates have been shared.”
    During the holidays, Burry Chocolates offers Easter eggs with a variety of fillings, chocolate bunnies, and a special Peeps on chocolate original. At Christmas, Santa reigns with Christmas candies, stocking stuffers, and hostess gifts. Valentine’s Day delivers chocolate-covered strawberries and an array of handcrafted chocolates. New to the menu is their homemade ice cream infused with their chocolate delights such as mint chocolate chip. 
 “We appreciate and value every one of our customers.” Emily added that the Greater Topsail Area has been 
supportive of the business. “The community has been a blessing.”
