NEIGHBORS FEEDING NEIGHBORS

ANCHORED IN COMMUNITY

Just up the road in Hampstead, a different kind of miracle is happening—one meal, one grocery cart, one act of kindness at a time.

Share the Table, a local food ministry led by Executive Director Dawn Ellis, has become a lifeline for countless families in our area. From free community meals to pantry distribution and weekend food bags for students, this nonprofit touches lives in deeply personal ways.
“Our biggest challenge is always funding,” Ellis says. “Monetary donations help us buy in bulk, which stretches our resources so much further.”
Still, Share the Table gladly accepts food, hygiene products, and gently used household items—everything from towels to toasters. Thanks to individual donations and community support, Share the Table recently opened a brand-new facility with expanded storage, classrooms, and safer parking. The new space is more than just a building, it’s a cornerstone of community support.
Neighbors who receive assistance speak from the heart. “Share the Table has helped my family tremendously in a time of need. The Sunday meal as well as the grocery shopping help us get through the week,” said one recipient. Another stated, “Share the Table has been a blessing for me and my family. Every little bit helps us eat and stay afloat when times are hard.”
Share the Table serves neighbors from all walks of life.
With rising food and housing costs, more and more people—from seniors and veterans to working families—are struggling. Many are forced to choose between rent, medication, and food. Share the Table helps fill that gap—with both compassion and dignity.
