CAROLINA CUTTING BOARDS

Can you believe these local cutting boards have been created for famous chefs, such as Guy Fieri and Giada de Laurentis? They have even taken orders from as far away as Spain.
Carolina Cutting Boards makes their home in the Camp Davis Industrial Park in Holly Ridge. A lumber company in its fifth generation, the Davis Family started using its beautiful scrap hardwood to make cutting boards. In 2018 Carolina Cutting Boards was featured on Good Morning America.
“We make a wide variety of cutting boards with different types of wood,” said Lori Nash who oversees the cutting board production. “Each cutting board design is unique.”
Tom’s son, Townsend, who works in the family business, was a second-grade student when he created the first shaped cutting board. “It was a surfboard,” recalled Lori. “He sold it to his friend’s mother.”
Today, Carolina Cutting Boards sells a variety of shapes and sizes. There are traditional cutting boards, boards that are grooved for collecting juices, multi-shaped boards, and charcuterie boards. They produce large serving boards with cleats and so much more.
“We hire veterans,” said Tom. “They are our first priority.” “We attend Autumn with Topsail each year,” said Lori. “Cutting boards are available online and we have boards in stock here.” “We like being local,” added Tom.
